Well the tomato plants are officially taller than Cody now. Not that they've given us any tomatoes! We have a little 2-foot tall tomato plant in a different area that has a half-dozen or so fruits on it, one is almost ready to pick. So if the plants in the garden ever decide to fruit, we may have to open up a fruit stand on the front lawn. Hopefully everyone loves salsa, I'm sure if you're reading this you'll be getting some salsa from us this year!
As you can also see, the zucchini plant is also humongous. It is threatening to overtake the peppers. Yesterday I gave Heidi probably 20 pounds of zucchini & summer squash (in exchange for the promise of yummy bread!) If anyone ever wants some, please just ask. We have more than enough! I swear Cody pulls a 5-pound zucchini out of that thing every day.
Here he is diligently doting. Cody has said that he wants a bigger garden next year. We may have to rent a booth at the local farmer's market if we go bigger!
